| This Ankylosaurus drawing was one of my early efforts. It was inspired by an illustration in one of my dinosaur books when I was 7 years old. During the construction of a dropped-ceiling in my childhood home, my Dad and I hid the drawing inside the drywall. I often thought of it as sort of a time capsule. We left the home 11 years later, and rented it for 18 more years. On my request, my two brothers fished it out in the summer of 2001, shortly before we sold the house. It spent 29 years in the dark, but here it is back in the light of the day for the first time since 1972! |
